Vinho Verde - the color of liveliness, verve, and fun.

Vinho Verde is a wine region in Northern Portugal. I was first introduced to wines from this region by Trader Joes. Yes, you too might remember this acidic, inexpensive, effervescent white wine in an Alsace styled - long neck, green - bottle. This bottle brings me back to living in Hermosa Beach in my early 20s, on a budget, not knowing much about anything, but thinking I knew it all - and living a breezy life.

You know the question… what do you do for fun? At this stage in my life - as a mom of three, stationer, and restaurateur - the free and fun moments that I look forward to is alone time with Anthony (my husband) over a delicious meal with an Old World bottle of wine - Spanish, Italian, or Portuguese are my favorites. Reds & whites from the region of Vinho Verde in particular. For this reason, I’ve named this zippy green tone that represents liveliness, verve, and fun - Vinho Verde.
